Meet Cyndi
I am a parent and learning advocate in North Vancouver. I am running for
School Trustee in the November 2011 municipal elections.

I have the experience and dedication needed in your School Trustee. I have attended the majority (about 90%) of all the School Board meetings for the last three years, and I also volunteer as your DPAC Chair, having spent three years on the NVDPAC Executive. My experience working with individualized learning will also benefit our District as we move towards increased use of personalized education plans. I trust deeply in the strength of our district, and believe that every child deserves to be educated in the manner that best supports his or her learning style and needs. I support the direction our district is moving in through the new strategic plan. As School Trustee, I will continue to work to ensure that the needs of our students and parents are at the forefront of that plan.
My focus for our District and our students is:
- Program choice for District students through the current plans for consolidation – accessibility, availability, and diversity of programming
- Building parent trust through open reciprocal dialogue and inclusive strategic planning
My background includes:
- Developing and supporting Personalized Learning Plans for students – both through my own experience, and working with parents, teachers, counselors, and school administrators
